PHILIPS RACK-MOUNT SCOPE |

|
NOTES | When I first saw this scope I was sure it was made by Solatron.
The CRT surround and even control knobs are often found on Solatron scopes
(for example see Solatron
CD1014.2). There is one important difference however - the front of
the CRT is set back so far from the graticule that you can move the trace
a whole division just by repositioning your head ! But then I guess this
scope was probably intended for basic monitoring tasks though intrestingly
it does have a facility for TV sync. The two Y-amps are quite different, with one having only 100mV/cm sensitivity yet the other having 1mV/cm sensitivity (almost certainly at a much reduced bandwidth). But here is the puzzle ; it is dual trace, but there is only a single Y-input on the front panel ! |

SERVICE DATA | Nope :-( |
CURRENT STATE | A bit tired and dirty. I would have cleaned it up a bit for the photo but polishing a TV22 cabinet was far more pleasing (no, I don't have a life). |
WHERE FOUND | Another donation from Allan |
