A.C.Cossor Ltd., Cossor House, Highbury Grove, London H5 [1948]
In March 1935 Cossor announced that when high definition broadcasts begin ("towards the end of the year"!) they would market a television receiver, model 3622, for 75gns (£78 15s 0d). In reality, tranmissions began at the end of the following year, with Cossor claiming to be the first to actually sell a television for the new transmissions. The set was purchased at the 1936 Radiolympia in late August 1936 by the Brent Bridge Hotel in Hendon.
Delivery of possibly the first television to be sold.

~Aug39 | 131 | C | 13½" | 1ch S/Het | Despite the C.R.T. size, the set actually produced a picture 10x8-inches - roughly the same size as that obtained by 12" models - the idea being that using only a smaller portion of the screen allowed for a flatter picture. | ||

Note: Models 54, 65, 131, 151 and 1210 were optionally available fitted with an additional 3-valve amplifier for operation in fringe areas, "fringe" generally being accepted as over 20 miles from the London transmitter. Such models carried an additional 'A' suffix.

At the start of 1957 Cossor aquirered a share in the equity of Titan Television Ltd. of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, with Titan to locally manufacture Cossor sets. There had previously been a TV know-how agreement between Cossor and Titan in the leadup to the start of regular television transmissions in Australia towards the end of 1956. Cossor TV receivers, also manufactured by Titan Television Ltd., were also marketed in Australia through Cossor's own distributors, Jacoby Mitchell & Co. Pty. Ltd. of Sydney.
