Advance Q1 |
|
NOTES | A signal generator aimed at the servicing of television sets,
released just in time for the beginning of Band III television signals. Period advertisment [171K] from the July 1954 edition of Practical Television magazine. |
---|---|
SERVICE DATA | Nope :-( I'm intriqued as to how they generated a square-wave modulated carrier with just a single double-triode valve. |
CURRENT STATE | Pretty clean and working, the only minor fault being the tendancy for the tuning scale to stick in the middle for no obvious reason. |
WHERE FOUND | July 2003 Haydock park event for a fiver. |
The case is basically one large screened box. Even so, the
main circuitry is housed inside another metal box - inside
yet another metal box !!!
