Front View [20K]

  • 1940's
  • LW, MW and four SW wavebands
  • 5 Valves (ECH21, two EAF41's, EBL21 and AZ31)
  • A.C. Mains only.
  • £22 18s 11d (tax paid)
NOTES A nice little Philips Mullard bakelite set. All four controls are moved to the side of the set leaving a nice clear front view. However I wonder whose bright idea it was to label the four shortwave bands as SW2 .. SW5.

The valve lineup is an unusual mixture of octal, locktal and miniature valves. I wonder where I've seen this freakish thing before ....
SERVICE DATA There is a copy of the original Mullard service manual on CD#2.
CURRENT STATE Nice bakelite case. A few signs of previous repairs to the circuitry however.
WHERE FOUND At a recent auction for £16.

Rear View [17K]
Note typical Philips unusual position of rectifier.
