Front View [33K] Tuning Tone On-off and volume Waveband

  • 1937
  • LW, MW and SW wavebands
  • 8 Valves (6A7, 6D6, 75, 76, two 42's,
6G5 "magic eye" plus 80 rectifier.)
  • A.C. Mains
  • Original cost unknown
NOTES Tuning Dial [17K]Clearly a top of the range set from Ferguson, with a whopping 8 valves. The valve count is helped not only by the inclusion of a tuning indicator but also a pair of 42s are used in a push-pull configuration.

The set feels very American, with its oval tuning scale with propeller pointer and American valve lineup.

Control painted with wood effect [5K]One does not expect to find bakelite on ones top range model ... so even the bakelite controls are painted in a wood effect.
SERVICE DATA A copy of the "Trader" service sheet #276 can be found on CD#3.
CURRENT STATE In complete "as found" condition. The wood finish will be ok after a clean and some sratch cover, but the original grill cloth is stained. The tuning control is also sticking.

WHERE FOUND

On The Air for effectively £67.50.
