Bradshaw and Co. seem to have been one of the many manufactures who dissappeared just as quickly as they had appeared. The only models they appear to have produced are an expensive projection set, the PA1 "Regent" (released jan/feb 1952) and a console model DU10 (?may 1952?).
The
Griffin Model PA1, produced a 17½ by 13in from the widely used Mullard
projection system with its 2½in MW6-2 C.R. tube. Designed for AC mains
only, versions of the instrument were apparently made available for all B.B.C.
television channels, achieved using separate aerial and R.F. coils for each
channel. The light walnut cabinet was fitted with half- length doors and a 12in
high fidelity loudspeaker is incorporated. All chassis, panels, speaker, etc.
were interconnected using plug and socket terminated leads, allowing any unit
to be removed without unsoldering.
Variable interference suppression on sound and vision.
The valve lineup was EF80 (seven), EB91 (three), EBC41, EL41, ECL80 (two), EL38 (two), GZ32 EBC33, EY51, (three).
With a list price of £142 14s 9d plus £64 2s 3d tax it was very expensive, even by projection standards. It even cost even more than some models that projected 4ft by 3ft pictures, so presumably this wan't a popular model and explains why Bradshaws do not appear to have produced many sets.

The 'Griffin'name reappeared two years later under an apparently different manufacturer, but, like Bradshaw, located in Accrington and using the same style of model number.Their 1954 range is most odd in that they were a Band-1-only set on the eve of the launch of commercial television on Band III.
