Front View [35K]

  • Early 60's ?
  • Multi-phase signal generator
  • 10Hz - 100KHz in five ranges
  • 8 Valves.
  • Original cost unknown.
NOTES There are three 600-ohm outputs, each with their own fine adjustment of phase. There is also a single coarse phase adjustment which I assume sets the phase between each output.

Since dealing with phase I assume these outputs are intended to be sine waves. There is a frequency control, plus additional external sync snsitivity which further suggests that the unit can either generate it's own waveforms or can generate waveforms locked (within limits) to a supplied waveform.

So, what would we use such a piece of equipment for ? Er .. well ... um ... I'm sure I needn't insult your inteligence spelling it out.
SERVICE DATA Nope. But then for something with such an obvious function I guess I don't really need one.
CURRENT STATE The odd dent in the case but its all there. I'm sure it'd perform its intended task particularly well.
WHERE FOUND Another donation saved from a rather baffled skip (thanks again Dave).

Chassis view [30K]
Obviously, for a piece of equipment that is specifically
used for stuff previously described, we'll need a
fair few valves and power diodes. Obviously.
