EKCO 313 |
|
NOTES | A
lovely piece of ancient bakelite, dating from the age when external speakers
were the norm. However Ekco also produced a suitable loudspeaker, the 'Ekcoil'
Model LS2, that was available as an option. An example is illustrated in
the picture opposite kindly donated by the Vintage
Radio Times website. The set uses directly heated valves and is powered from AC mains. This usually requires a balancing control used to minimise the hum that this combination generally produces. |

SERVICE DATA | Nope :-( |
CURRENT STATE | Beautiful bakelite case even if the chassis has seen some rust. |
WHERE FOUND | July 2001 auction at Sambrook for £180 (eek!). Consolation prize for having missed out on a number of lots including a lovely Ferranti Nova :-( |
The above label sure helps date the set ! Dont suppose anyone has a copy?
